We Have Pride

On 550 Lowell St. in Manchester, NH lies McDonough Elementary School, home of the Mustangs and 550 students ranging from Kindergarten to fifth grade. Below are song lyrics to the new school song (written by one of this year’s corps members, Jared Field) and pictures of McDonough Elementary.  Although it is hard to pinpoint exactly what makes this first-year partnership between City Year and McDonough so special, the song lyrics and pictures will hopefully provide some insight into the unique relationship that has been formed over the past four months.

McDonough Elementary School

McDonough Elementary School has welcomed its City Year team in with open arms, with the entire school going out of its way to make us a part of the school culture. Because of this openness, City Year and McDonough have been able to work together to focus on what is really important: the students.  Over the past 4 months it has been an absolute privilege to get to work with McDonough and we are thankful for the opportunities they have given us.  The end of the school song could not have said it better: we all are the Mustangs and we have pride in McDonough School.
