Make it to School, Make a Difference

From November 29th – December 3rd, the Wilson City Year team launched the Make it to School, Make a Difference attendance initiative sponsored by George‘s Tailoring and Manchester Flower Studio. This initiative encouraged students from grades K – 5 to get to school on time and compete for the chance to support one of eight charities.
-Nothing But Nets

-Make A Wish Foundation

-Children’s Miracle Network

-Jane Goodall Institute

-Heifer International

-My Stuff Bags

-Save Darfur

-Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

This initiative was a joy. It promoted the spirit of giving back and showed students that their actions can help someone else’s life for the better. I want to dedicate this blog to all the students at Wilson for stepping up to the challenge and making a difference. For the results, check out City Year New Hampshire on Facebook next week to find out the winning class and selected charity.
